Breakfast Food For Lunch

For some reason I wanted pancakes at 2:00pm on a Sunday afternoon. Backtrack, not just “any” pancakes but ones from iHop….OM freakin’ G…those are major.

Mind you, while getting dressed today, like every day, I’m struggling to find clothes that fit since I gained a few extra pounds the past year and refuse to buy larger size clothes. No ma’am!

I have purposely let myself suffer looking at my cute size 8/9 pieces hanging in my closet hoping deep in my soul that they haven’t gotten to the end of their road.

Yes, me being at iHop is totally out of order and I know flat out that I’m dead wrong.

Note to self: Start dieting tomorrrow

Benihana Rocks!

I have been a loyal customer at Benihana Japanese Steak House for over 14 years (Georgetown, Bethesda, Atlanta) and have NEVER been disappointed. It’s such a cool spot to eat delicious hibachi style food while also being entertained.

The chef’s tricks are always amusing to kids and adults alike. Ranging from making a mound of buttery fried rice into a heart shape then sliding the spatula underneath raising it like a heartbeat pulsing to the cook scooting a stack of raw onions across the grill like a chochoo train with smoke coming from the top like a chimney….genius! I’m so goofy because I’ve seen them do that trick hundreds of times but will still crack up laughing as if it’s my first.

Great job Benihana, I must admit y’all have one hell of a franchise, just wish Baltimore had one so I wouldn’t have to drive 40 minutes to Bethesda.

What a perfect fit for The Inner Harbor….hint hint.
